Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on April 17th, 1972. Her family was however raised within Charleston West Virginia. William John Garner was her father and a chemical engineering company called Union Carbide. Patricia Ann, her mother was a professor at a nearby university. The father of her was an engineer in the chemical industry, so she wanted to be similar to him. To pursue her acting dream and pursue her acting career, she decided to relocate into New York and try her attempt at Hollywood. Her Broadway performances were followed by a stint at a local establishment. In the TV series "Felicity," she had one brief appearance. (It was on this show where she became acquainted with their husband Scott Foley. Garner made her debut in Alias the action thriller. Her debut part was in the acclaimed love story 13 Going on 30. The film featured her as a teenager trapped inside a 30plus year old's body. Garner picked Gary Winick, who directed the movie. She and Winick continued to work together in search of other projects following the death of Winick. Garner was awarded the title artist ambassador in 2009 for Save the Children U.S.A. This role involves the promotion of nutrition and literacy in America in addition to early elementary education. In 2014, Garner has been a member of the board of trustees for this group, promoting early elementary education. In her role as an ambassador for the organization, Garner frequently interacts with families that are involved in the organization's Early Steps to School Success program, which coaches parents on ways to support young children to learn.
