Jenna Fischer's most famous character is Pam Beesly in the highly loved TV show The Office. She received two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in an ensemble comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne performed in church plays. Her love for performance and theatre was cultivated as a teenager.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was directed and written by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer began her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of 2019. The podcast quickly became popular. Every week, it was among the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloaded in the first couple years. Office Ladies, which was released in the month of October and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award for the month of January in 2021.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office: From Two Best Friends There. The memoir deals with their friendship and the work they did on The Office.
